Welcome, I’m Sharon Zoumbaris, author, columnist, storyteller, librarian and educator. I created my website to provide quick and easy access to my reference books as well as to share my knowledge and love of books and reading. Having spent the last 30 years working with books and children, I never tire of seeing that magic moment when a child opens a book and steps inside. I want my web site to be part of making that magic happen.

I also offer links to award winning books, everything from the Caldecott and Newbery Award winners to the Alex Award selections for young adults and the Pura Belpre Award winners for books by Latino/Latina writers and illustrators. There is a universe of wonderful, well-written titles, especially for children and young adults. What better place to start than with these winners.
